Hey guys! So I found an awesome Mama who has some really great stuff on her blog. Her name is Kristen and her blog was called The Earthy Mama but she has a new blog that is called Rethink Simple. (They both have pretty much the same stuff on there) I found her through Pinterest when I was researching natural cleaning solutions, and boy am I glad I did! Seriously, I never even considered owning my own chickens until I read her post. Now I’m

Sugar Bananas!

Hey guys! So I’m starting a “Feature Friday”; each week I will post a few awesome finds from other blogs to see what other neat things people are up to. It would only make sense to have my first feature be my future sister in law over at her blog Sugar Bananas. She has been teaching me all the important basics to blogging that I never even knew existed. It’s crazy how much there is to this! She even taught me about link parties, which led to my first feature on

Diaper Review! SAVE MONEY!

Hey guys! Can I just butt in and point out how freaking cute my little nugget was? I can’t believe he was that little! Makes me want to cry!! So I thought I’d do a diaper review for some of you fellow new moms or those who are expecting a little one in the near future! Before I  had my son, I had my mind set on using Pampers. I was a nanny for a long time before having him and always used Pampers. Naturally, I wanted nothing but the best for him and knew Pampers had a good reputation!

Awesome Amazon Find

The thing about living in Florida is that you’re at the beach a lot. I needed to find something for cal that would protect his florescent white little skin and be easy to get on and off. I tried the Rash guard shirts that pull over the head. It was such a pain to get on and off; AND it was super tight (even when I bought it a few sizes big!) Another thing I disliked about those were they would constantly ride up and his whole belly would be out! I doubt that is comfortable; and it also makes him more prone to get sunburned there.

This is the I play Unisex-Baby Infant Swim Sunsuit. It is AMAZING! So easy to get on and off and it protects my baby’s delicate skin. It’s a WIN WIN. It has a front zipper as well as snaps at the bottom that can make diaper changing super quick and easy. Another great thing about this sun suit is that it drys fast; so by the time we pack up everything and get to the car, it’s pretty much dry. They also have a few different options for colors.

FYI…I bought Cal’s Sunsuit a size big so he will be able to wear it for longer. I definitely recommend doing that if you have a fast little grower like I do!

I got this for 24.99 with free shipping on Amazon (because I have an Amazon Mom Prime Membership), but It’s now listed for 12.99! I think I’ll buy a few more 🙂

Classical Baby, Amazon Find

I found these awesome movies made by HBO. Personally, I think they are much more entertaining and educational than the Baby Einstein series. They are called Classical Baby and they have a bunch of different versions. I have the Music and Art show. After watching both of them, I had to have the Poetry and Dance show! I ordered mine on Amazon and they were super cheap ($8.95 per DVD). I would highly recommend them!

Awesome Amazon Find!

I’ve been making and freezing lots of baby food for my little nugget.  I decided to look on amazon to see if I could find something that I could use to freeze good sized portions for Cal. I also wanted something that I would use after he is out of the baby food stage.  I found Wilton Silicone Brownie Mold for $8.20 on Amazon. I ordered it and use it all the time. It is freezer, microwave, and oven safe and makes the perfect portions for not only baby food but for brownies, cookies, etc. It also keeps me from slicing off myself a giant piece of dessert. (Not that I think twice about eating a few of these 🙂

Can Do Baby App

I discovered an awesome app for all you mamas trying to document your babies milestones! This app puts together an online scrapbook with all of your child’s milestones which you can share with friends and family. My favorite part about this app is that you can order a hard copy of the book so you can have it in print! It has a simple yet well designed layout and makes it so easy for busy moms to keep track of all the major events in their childrens life from birth to their elementary years!
