Are any of your other Messy Haired Moms out there sick of doing loads and loads of dishes everyday? I do at least two loads A DAY and there’s only three of us. I am always trying to find new ways to cut back on doing so many dishes and this recipe was perfect for that! I call these Blender Bottle Pancakes! A few months back, I had a goal to get in really good shape. Of course as soon as I joined a gym i found out I was pregnant the next week. I know you can work out while pregnant, but already not being much of an exerciser, I was afraid to put too much strain on my body. (maybe that was just my excuse) I bought two 28 oz blender bottles off Amazon for protein shakes. My husband still uses them at least once a day, but I wanted to find some kind of use for them at home other than my chocolate milk making addiction.
Thats when I came up with these yummy blender bottle pancakes! Cal absolutely loves them! (Although, he probably would love pancakes any way I made them) Basically I just made half of a serving of bisquick pancakes (I know, but they’re so easy!! You can use your own homemade pancake mix if you prefer) You can always make a full serving, but I’m not much of a pancake person myself, so these were mainly for Cal.
This recipe makes about 8-14 pancakes depending on the size of your pancake. The cinnamon and sugar is optional, it just adds an extra boost of flavor to our pancakes. Sometimes we put in fresh blueberries or chopped banana; what ever you prefer!
- 1 cup Bisquick
- 1/2 – 3/4 cup of Milk
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- dash of Cinnamon
Add all of the ingredients in the blender bottle and make sure your little blender ball is in there to mix it up real good! Also, make sure you click in the pop top or else you will have pancakes all over your kitchen! (yes I have done that a few times with chocolate milk!) And shake away! It’s also a great exercise in the morning to get your blood pumping and make your toddler laugh and dance with you. Fun for everyone!
Once its all shaken up, all you have to do it pop open the top and pour onto a hot pan. It’s so easy to pour and control how big you want your pancakes! I made mine small so they were easy for cal to eat but everything is always more fun to eat when it’s small anyways! Oh, and the BEST part? You only need to wash one cup! No more spoons and bowls and attachments. You’re welcome! 😉
