Sweet Potato Smoothie

One last recipe today! This was to die for. So glad I tried it. I was a bit apprehensive to put a sweet potato in my smoothie for some reason. WHAT WAS I THINKING? While Cal has been sick this week, I wanted to get him some extra vitamin C. I forgot to pick up some OJ from the market so my friend Patty suggested a sweet potato to give him his vitamin c. Who knew sweet potatoes were packed with vitamin c? Oranges get all the credit!

Sweet Potato Chicken Soup

Happy Sunday! Sorry I’ve been MIA these last few weeks. I’ve been crazy busy with playdates, getting the hang of cloth diapering, and starting my business. I will keep you all informed as to when I will be opening up shop in a few weeks! So this week, Cal has caught a nasty little cold. Perfect excuse to make a big batch of chicken soup! He absolutely loved it too. He ate this for 4 days straight and gobbled it down every time…This kid will eat anything off a fork or

UPcycled Formula Containers

Last night I finally got to finishing this project that I’ve been putting off for a bit, and I couldnt be more excited to share it with you! I love these containers that our formula comes in. They are so durable and even waterproof from the outside. (I know this because I leave one outside with all of my clothesline pins in it. South Florida rain is no joke! and It’s completely dry inside.) I have a ton of scrapbook paper that I figured I’d use.

Biscut Apple Mushroom Stuffing

Hey guys! After trying this homemade stuffing or “dressing” recipe, you’ll never want to buy the box ever again. It was just as quick to make, except it tasted 50000x better! I paired it with roasted chicken, fresh summer corn, and some cranberry sauce. I couldn’t get enough of it, so I made a thanksgiving quesadilla the next day….I hope you enjoy 🙂

Tex Mex Chicken Soup

Hi guys!

Last night I came up with a pretty awesome recipe. I was really in the mood to go out for Mexican, but I have so much fresh groceries that I would hate to see go to waste. With everything I had, I decided to make a Tex Mex chicken soup. I’m not sure if there’s too much of a difference between this and chicken tortilla soup (other than the tortillas). This was my first attempt at making anything like this, so I was obviously surprised at how yummy it came out! I’m

Copycat Mocha Iced Coffee

So I am not the biggest fan of coffee. I never have been. But I need it, BAD! When your 9 month old is waking up multiple times a night, and by multiple, I’m talking 4-5; you start to really need caffeine! But I can not stand the taste of coffee (coffee ice cream is a different story). Jesse brought me home an ice coffee from Dunkin Doughnuts one day and it was delish! Apparently , I only enjoy coffee if it tastes sweet and chocolatey! So I decided I needed to come up with a copycat recipe for their mocha iced coffee. Here is what I came up with….I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

The Earthy Mama

Hey guys! So I found an awesome Mama who has some really great stuff on her blog. Her name is Kristen and her blog was called The Earthy Mama but she has a new blog that is called Rethink Simple.
